Metsä Board designs new Arctic Blue Gin package with holographic Northern Lights flare

Metsä Board, the leading European producer of premium fresh fibre paperboards and part of Metsä Group, has designed the Arctic Blue Gin package with an impressive holographic design inspired by the Northern Lights. Arctic Brands Group, the Finland-based spirit company, tasked Metsä Board to design the dramatic package using MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright lightweight folding boxboard.

Subscriptions to sell BSC Drukarnia Opakowań shares begin in tender offer

From 12 February investors can subscribe to sell shares in BSC Drukarnia Opakowań in a tender offer announced by A&R Carton and Colorpack. These companies are part of AR Packaging, one of the leaders in Europe’s packaging industry, which intends to increase its stake in BSC Drukarnia Opakowań from 60.82% currently to 100%. Subscriptions are being accepted by Santander Biuro Maklerskie and are open until 12 March 2020.

Walki, a leading manufacturer of packaging solutions, will be presenting their portfolio of sustainable barrier boards and flexible packaging materials at Packaging Innovations in Birmingham, UK, on 26 and 27 February. Applications of the versatile grades include fresh goods, frozen foods and confectionery as well as non-food articles such as cleaning agents, hygiene products or electronics. Better with Less – Design Challenge 10 finalist designs feature creative alternatives to plastic packaging

The international packaging design competition Better with Less – Design Challenge 2019–2020, organised by Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, challenged designers to create more environmentally-friendly solutions for some of the most frequently used consumer packaging. The competition received 146 entrants from 28 countries. Ten finalists are now chosen to compete for the winning entries of the competition and its main prizes:
