With jetscript® GS 1062, the German specialty paper manufacturer Mitsubishi HiTec Paper is now offering a new coated premium inkjet paper as face-stock material for sophisticated, personalized label applications.

The 95g paper impresses with a particularly homogeneous semi-glossy surface and a high visual gloss. The special coated ink receiving layer not only enables excellent colour reproduction and very good colour brilliance, but also high colour density even with dark shades. Printouts in photorealistic print quality are easily possible with GS 1062.

HEINZEL GROUP develops Laakirchen paper mill into one of the largest production sites for recycled packaging paper in Europe

The supervisory boards of Laakirchen Papier AG and Heinzel Holding GmbH have decided to make extensive investments in the sustainable development of the Austrian paper mill Laakirchen for an environmentally friendly future. As part of an investment program of well over 100 million euros, paper machine 11 (PM11), which today produces supercalendered paper for magazines, catalogs, and advertising, will be converted into a highperformance machine for lightweight containerboard made from recycled paper.

European paper industry delivers on emission reduction and recycling commitments

With the slowing down of the European economy and the sanitary restrictions, European paper and board consumption decreased by 5.3% in 2020 compared to 2019, totalling 71 million tonnes.

Cepi members produced 85.2 million tonnes of paper and board, a decrease of 4.8% compared to 2019. This downward trend was observed in many other parts of the world, namely the US, Japan, Brazil and Canada.
