To demonstrate how paperboard can boost brand appeal, Metsä Board has launched a new set of packaging samples. The samples demonstrate the various finishing effects and how the paperboard surface can enhance them and create impressive visual and tactile effects. The samples have been designed to inspire end-users in sectors such as food, beautycare, pharmaceuticals, luxury packaging and graphic applications. The samples are produced using the enhanced Metsä Board folding boxboard portfolio.

Last week, from 12 – 14 March 2019, CCE International, the International Exhibition for the Corrugated and Folding Carton Industry, took place for the 4th time at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany. A total of 2,406 visitors from 79 countries came to Munich to discover the wide range of machinery, accessories and services covering the entire production and processing chain of corrugated and folding carton. The number of visitors has, thus, risen by 13% compared to 2017.

Metsä Board, a leading European producer of premium paperboards and part of Metsä Group, is pleased to announce that the food safety procedures at its Kyro, Äänekoski and Husum mills have recently been certified according to the FSSC 22000 food safety standard. These certifications demonstrate that Metsä Board’s mill organisations comprehensively ensure the safety of their products for demanding end-uses, such as direct contact with food.

The Green Packaging Star Award was awarded for two designs using fresh fibre paperboards from Metsä Board at FachPack 2018.The T2 Mini Fruit Tea packaging won in the category ‘Design’ and the Pago fruit juice promotion ‘Message on a bottle’ won the first prize in the category ‘Environmentally-friendly Corporate Philosophy.
