Kolbus accelerates move into packaging and finds perfect match in Autobox

Kolbus Group have acquired all shares in Autobox Machinery Ltd, for an undisclosed price. Autobox Group, with its main operating company British Converting Solutions Ltd (BCS) based in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, UK, is a leading manufacturer of corrugated box making, printing and gluing machines. BCS-Autobox develops cutting edge technology for the specialist short run box market. With more than 80% of production going into export market, the company has enjoyed world-wide success. Voith Asia awarded contract for two XcelLine packaging paper machines by Sun Paper

A new milestone for Voith, another two XcelLine paper machines have been ordered by the company’s long-term partner Sun Paper. This order strengthens the partnership between both companies and brings the total number of Voith paper machines supplied to Sun Paper to nine. In particular, Voith has been the exclusive supplier for a remarkable seven consecutive new machines in the past five years.

Papeleira COREBOARD acquires a Pasaban BM 2600 Winder

Papeleira Coreboard S.A., a company that produces 220 tons per day of cardboard for the paper core and angle manufacturing industry, has acquired a BM 2600 Paper Winder as part of its machinery and facilities upgrade project.  

Papeleira Coreboard is part of a group that includes Spiralpack and the paper core manufacturer Cicarsa. After a period of heavy investments to optimize their manufacturing process, they have become the benchmark for recycled paper in Portugal.

ANDRITZ supplies S6-high cold rolling mill to Shougang Jingtang

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. in China to supply an S6-high cold rolling mill with an annual capacity of 280,000 tons. The new plant is designed to process high-strength steel grades.

The cold rolling mill will be designed with particular focus on production volume, strip shape and strip thickness tolerances to manufacture products of highest quality. Production of the first coil is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.

Hygienic Tissue Mills fired up a new TT WIND-P tissue rewinder supplied by Toscotec

On July 27, Hygienic Tissue Mills started up a Toscotec-supplied TT WIND-P tissue rewinder at its Pietermaritzburg mill, in eastern South Africa. This is a repeated order for Toscotec, following the supply of a MODULO-PLUS tissue machine, PM2, in 2017. The TT WIND-P slitter rewinder serves PM2, processing 100% virgin pulp and recycled paper parent rolls.
