Pasaban upgrades one of OKAB Group’s cardboard sheeters

Pasaban upgrades the electrical cabinets of a cardboard sheeter for Okab in order to improve the machine’s performance.

The Okab Group has been providing cardboard and paper converting services to European market since 1969. It originally started converting envelopes, cutting paper sheets and currently provides tailormade converting services such as, sheeting, rewinding and ream wrapping across the entire continent from its plants in France, Germany and Sweden.

Valmet to supply grade conversion rebuild for Shangrao City Lulin Paper in China

Valmet will supply a grade conversion rebuild with automation solutions for Shangrao City Lulin Paper Co., Ltd. in Shangrao, China. The main goal of the customer is to increase the capacity of fluting grades and expand the company by building a new greenfield mill. The start-up of relocated and converted paper machine PM 5 is scheduled for early 2020. 

The order is included in Valmet's first quarter of 2019 orders received. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The total value of order of this type is typically around EUR 20-30 million.

A deep look into the crane machinery at Germany’s Palm paper factory

Churning out corrugated base paper: The paper machine 6 (PM6) at the Palm paper factory in Wörth am Rhein, Germany, annually produces some 650,000 tons of the versatile packaging raw material with surface weights of up to 160 g/m2. In order to safely transport these huge paper rolls day and night, the double-girder bridge cranes inside the factory must always function flawlessly.
