BOBST and CITO-SYSTEM announce strategic investment to boost innovation and standardization in tooling and the die-making industry
On 8 April, 2020, BOBST acquired a majority participation of 51% in CITO-SYSTEM, while the management of CITO-SYSTEM retains 49% in the Company. CITO-SYSTEM will continue to be run under the same management with its existing globally-recognized branding and agent network. The Company is well known for providing a multiple of components for the converting and die-making industries with expertise in paper, cardboard, and corrugated board.
ANDRITZ to supply new dewatering technology for RMP process to Mayr-Melnhof Karton, Austria
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Mayr-Melnhof Karton to supply a Vertical Screw Thickener (VST) dewatering system for the RMP (Refiner Mechanical Pulp) process at the mill in Frohnleiten, Austria.
Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020.
Voith supplies extension of recycled fiber plant for JSC Yarpaper
JSC Yarpaper, specialist in the production of paper and cardboard in Russia, signed the contract with Voith for the extension of existing recycled fiber line. A precedent plant audit was carried out by Voith in order to decide for the best solution in regard to final product quality, operating and investment costs.

OnQuality: Voith launches new generation of sensors
Voith has developed a new generation of sensors with regards to availability, reliability and maintenance handling. As the main components of the Quality Measurement System, the sensors measure the most important quality parameters of the paper being produced, such as basis weight, moisture, caliper and ash. The Quality Control System reduces as much as possible the variability in machine direction (MD) and cross direction (CD). This allows paper manufacturers to move quality targets in the most profitable operational zones – for example to maximize the moisture content of the paper.
ANDRITZ to supply largest pressurized refining system to China
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Guangxi Guoxu Group Co., Ltd. to supply a pressurized refining system for their MDF production line in Wuzhou City, Guangxi Province.
This will be the largest system ever installed in China, with a capacity of 45 bdmt/h and including an S2064M refiner. Start-up of the equipment is scheduled for the end of 2020.
Toscotec completes two drying section rebuilds for Lucart
From July 2019 to February 2020, Toscotec successfully completed two customized rebuilds at Lucart Diecimo tissue mill. The two rebuilding solutions included the replacement of PM5 and PM6’s existing Yankees with Toscotec’s second-generation Steel Yankee Dryers, complete steam and condensate systems, as well as the installation of a TT SuctionPressRoll.
ANDRITZ receives major order for paper machine rebuild from MOPAK Kağıt Karton, Turkey
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from MOPAK Kağıt Karton, Turkey, to rebuild paper machine PM3 at its mill in Dalaman, Turkey. With this rebuild, which is the first part of a multi-stage project, the capacity of the mill will be increased to 500,000 t/a. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
