Durst, manufacturer of advanced digital printing and production technologies, is expanding its high-revenue Large Format Printing (LFP) segment with a new leadership. Previously, the segment was divided into the areas of web-fed printing in Brixen and flatbed printing at the Lienz production site.
Durst, a manufacturer of advanced digital printing and production technologies, has entered into a 50/50 joint venture with printing press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer for the joint development and marketing of single-pass digital printing systems for folding carton and carton board corrugated industry.

The company produces home accessories at its 1,500m2 facility in Berlin, exclusively using digital technology. In May 2018, the company added Xeikon’s wallpaper system, the Wall Decoration Suite, to its production portfolio, including a Xeikon 8500 single-pass digital duplex printer.

Ricoh Company, Ltd. today announced that the company has reached an agreement to buy ColorGATE Digital Output Solutions GmbH (hereafter “ColorGATE”), a leading software provider in the printing industry with a specific competence in color management. This acquisition is designed to strengthen Ricoh's growing industrial printing business. The transfer of shares is scheduled to complete on November 30, 2018.
Ricoh announced that the company has reached an agreement to buy LAC Corporation (hereafter “LAC“), a company with unique inkjet technology that supports printing on three-dimensional surfaces e.g. on the sides of cars, trucks, aircraft and even tyres and glass bottles. This acquisitiorn is aimed at strengthening Ricoh's industrial printing business, which is one of its three growth strategies. The transfer of the shares is scheduled to complete on October 31, 2018.
