Arctic Paper and Rottneros are collaborating on sustainable fiber trays in Poland

Arctic Paper and Rottneros have signed a Letter of Intent regarding a 50/50 joint venture in Kostrzyn, Poland with the aim of building a molded fiber tray factory. The start-up of the new factory, which is estimated to generate an annual revenue of 9-11 MEUR, is planned for the end of 2023. The investment is expected to amount to 12-15 MEUR, corresponding to approximately 55-70 MPLN.

Dunapack Packaging heads for second stage of plant extension in Greece

Since the second half of 2019, Dunapack Packaging Hellas S.A. boosts its expansion plans in Greece with a further plant enlargement of 6.960m². The extension is mainly driven by an enlargement of the converting area as well as a new warehouse for raw materials and finished goods.

To optimize internal and external logistics, the new state-of-the-art facility is split into two levels connected by a fully automated handling system and elevators. The plant will reach its total production capacity of 140 Mio m² on completion in May 2022.

Innovative corrugated face mask bin wins a ScanStar 2021

An innovative corrugated bin for face masks by Metsä Board, part of Metsä Group, has been awarded a ScanStar in a Nordic packaging design competition organised by the Scandinavian Packaging Association. The mask bin, made of lightweight and durable corrugated board, helps to collect and dispose of used face masks easily and safely. Metsä Board developed the concept together with packaging design agency Futupack and corrugated board converter Capertum.
