Toscotec’s new tissue line starts up at Thai C.A.S. Paper Mill

C.A.S. Paper Mill started up an AHEAD 1.5S tissue machine supplied by Toscotec at its Sing Buri mill in Thailand.

The new AHEAD 1.5S machine has a trim width of 2,850 mm, an operating speed of 1,850 m/min, and produces more than 30,000 tpy of premium quality tissue. The machine configuration is designed to guarantee top energy efficiency with TT NextPress shoe press design, TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer, and steam-heated TT Hood-Hybrid. 

Voith’s Quality Control System (QCS) OnQuality to improve production quality at Simka Kagit PM 1 in Kayseri, Turkey

Simka Kagit Sanayi VE Ticaret AS, a Turkish manufacturer of various converted paper and paperboard products, has commissioned Voith to supply its OnQuality Quality Control System (QCS) of scanners and sensors to the company’s PM 1 in Kayseri, Turkey.

Voith presents IntensaDrum Duo for production volumes of 3,000 tons of paper per day

The papermaking process starts with pulping and separation of coarse contaminants to prepare the pulp for the subsequent cleaning steps. Based on its many years of expertise, Voith Paper now introduces the latest technology within the BlueLine stock preparation – the IntensaDrum Duo, a two-piece drum pulper. The machine, suitable for recovered paper, is perfect for very high production volumes and is characterized by extreme robustness and high reliability and efficiency.

Voith rebuilds complete PM 5 of customer PAPRESA for the optimized production of packaging paper

PAPRESA, the leading southern European manufacturer of newsprint, commissioned Voith in March to completely rebuild PM 5 at the Rentería mill in Spain. The start-up of the ambitious project is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Subsequently, the extensive rebuild will enable significantly more efficient and sustainable production of packaging paper. The capacity will then be around 205,000 tons of testliner and corrugating medium per year, with a PM design speed of 1,200 m/min.
