ANDRITZ successfully starts up two tissue production lines delivered to Suzhou Taison Paper Mill in China

The two CrescentFormer tissue machines (TM13, TM15) of the type PrimeLineST W8 have a design speed of 1,900 m/min, a paper width of 5.6 m, and a total design capacity of up to 120,000 tons of tissue per year. The machines process pre-dried bleached bamboo pulp, NBKP and LBKP market pulp to produce high-quality facial tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, handkerchiefs, and napkins. Both tissue machines are equipped with an 18 ft. PrimeDry Steel Yankee and a PrimeDry Hood ST with steam heating to enable highly efficient drying while saving energy.

Voith launches new PU roll cover for press rolls

Problems are often encountered with conventional rolls when processing pulp. The rolls cause high specific pressures as well as a short nip. To prevent this, Voith is now offering a new polyurethane (PU) roll cover that has been developed for press rolls: the IntensePress. Voith modernizes and expands stock preparation plant for Modern Karton PM 3 in Ergene, Turkey

Modern Karton, the largest manufacturer of cardboard packaging and packaging paper in Turkey, recently signed a contract with Voith for the extension and modernization of its existing OCC line. Within the scope of the contract, Voith will also supply a new stock preparation line for pulp and recovered paper. The new order follows the successful upgrade and expansion of the existing DIP line.
