With the OnPerformance.Lab, Voith is now offering paper manufacturers the opportunity to identify and exploit improvement potential for their production through an in-depth analysis of process data. The Remote Service Center at the Heidenheim site became operational at an interactive online event attended by customers and Voith experts.
Aktül Kağıt is a company that produces tissue paper from 100% virgin wood pulp, managing Private Label products for the main local and foreign chains. It also supplies high quality jumbo rolls for numerous converting facilities, located both in Turkey and abroad.
The collaboration between A.Celli Paper and Aktül Kağıt started at the beginning of September since the Turkish company was looking for a customizable, plug-and-play cutting solution, perfectly adaptable and compatible with any standard rewinding system or complete tissue line.
Wepa Group is one of the largest tissue manufacturers in Europe, with 13 sites, 21 paper machines, a production of approx. 780,000 t/year, and a positive annual growth trend. Since 2002, Toscotec and Wepa’s cooperation has been particularly strong at Wepa Marsberg-Giershagen, where Toscotec supplied a new tissue line on a turnkey basis, completely rebuilt PM 5 in two different steps and installed new hoods on other two existing machines, with the result that all tissue machines at the mill are now equipped with TT Hoods.
Valmet will supply a Valmet IQ Steam Profiler and associated cross-direction moisture control to the Ahlstrom-Munksjö mill in Billingsfors, Sweden. The new profiling steambox, to be installed before the press section of paper machine PM6, will provide effective moisture profile management and improved drying performance for better product quality while reducing steam usage.
Skjern Paper is Denmark’s only paper mill. Founded in 1965, it is situated in Skjern, West Jutland. Since 2005, the ownership majority has been held by Buur Invest A/S, a Danish privately-owned investment company. The mill’s current annual capacity is 75,000 tonnes, including a range of products - coreboard, grey and blueliner, greyboard and sheets - produced from 100% recycled fibres. Skjern Paper is strongly export-oriented, with over 90% of its production sold to packaging and paper businesses in Europe.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from ITC Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (ITC-PSPD) to supply a new evaporation plant for its Bhadrachalam unit located in Telangana, India.
Valmet will supply a fine paper making line with stock preparation and an extensive scope of automation to Asia Symbol (Guangdong) Paper in XinHui, China. The new high-capacity fine paper making line will be designed to produce top-quality woodfree uncoated paper (WFU) grades. The start-up of PM 13 is scheduled for 2022.
The order is included in Valmet's orders received of the third quarter 2020. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The total value of an order of this type and delivery scope is typically around EUR 80-100 million.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Bracell to supply the non-condensable gases (NCG) incineration system on EPCC basis for Bracell’s pulp mill Project “STAR” in Lençóis Paulista, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
The incineration system supplied by ANDRITZ enables safe and environmentally friendly treatment of all types of diluted or concentrated malodorous and toxic gases, thus meeting the strictest environmental and social requirements. The gases are eliminated by quench-type incinerators with flue gas scrubbers.
The Ilim Group in Russia had been planning for a long time to upgrade the PM 4 at its plant in Koryazhma by adding a new MasterJet Pro headbox. However, due to pandemic-related travel bans the installation team from Heidenheim was not able to get to the site by the scheduled date. Nevertheless, a clever solution was found: Using the remote video support tool OnCall.Video, the Russian team on site was able to access Voith expertise in Heidenheim in real time.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Guangxi Sun Paper to supply two tissue machines for its new mill in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, China.
Start-up is planned for 2021.
