Dunn Paper selected Toscotec for the rebuild of the wet section of PM2 at its Menominee paper mill in Michigan, USA. The paper machine produces specialty papers including MG grades and flexible packaging products.
C.A.S. Paper Mill started up an AHEAD 1.5S tissue machine supplied by Toscotec at its Sing Buri mill in Thailand.
The new AHEAD 1.5S machine has a trim width of 2,850 mm, an operating speed of 1,850 m/min, and produces more than 30,000 tpy of premium quality tissue. Simka Kagit Sanayi VE Ticaret AS, a Turkish manufacturer of various converted paper and paperboard products, has commissioned Voith to supply its OnQuality Quality Control System (QCS) of scanners and sensors to the company’s PM 1 in Kayseri, Turkey.

PAPRESA, the leading southern European manufacturer of newsprint, commissioned Voith in March to completely rebuild PM 5 at the Rentería mill in Spain. The start-up of the ambitious project is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Subsequently, the extensive rebuild will enable significantly more efficient and sustainable production of packaging paper. The capacity will then be around 205,000 tons of testliner and corrugating medium per year, with a PM design speed of 1,200 m/min.
Sindus ANDRITZ Ltda., part of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order from LD Celulose S.A. to provide industrial maintenance services for their new mill in the city of Indianópolis, Brazil.
The contract has a contract term of approximately six years and covers full maintenance of all mill areas.

Paloma d.d., part of the Slovak Hygienic Paper (SHP) Group, purchased its new line from Toscotec on a turnkey basis and has confirmed that the machine has fulfilled all the conditions for take over acceptance.
Cartiera San Giorgio successfully started up its PM1 after the complete rebuilt of its dryer section by Toscotec. PM1 has a trim width of 2,500 mm, and produces wet creped tissue in the basis weight range from 30 to 50 gsm, using virgin cellulose and recycled paper.
