SYNTHRON IS ACCELERATING THE PROMOTION OF BARRIER PRODUCTS WITHOUT FLUORINATED RESINS

SYNTHRON, a French manufacturer of specialty chemicals, remains one of the few French players in paper chemistry and is accelerating the promotion of its SYNTHRO®-PEL line of barrier products without fluorinated resins.

Consumer awareness of the harmful consequences of plastic packaging on the environment and the problem of recycling require new solutions, which has not escaped the attention of industry players in the sector and SYNTHRON in particular.

Environmental protection and functionality requirements are increasing and SYNTHRON is actively working to ensure that plastic supports are gradually replaced by paper and cardboard supports, that are more easily degradable.

SYNTHRON is part of this process, offering not only an alternative to fluorinated resins, but also innovative solutions for food containers and plastic films.

The SYNTHRO®-PEL B67 and SYNTHRO®PEL FB 494, the flagship products of the range developed by the Centre for Studies and Innovation in Paper Chemistry, offer the advantage of being free of fluorinated resins, while conferring to the treated substrates properties of resistance to water vapour, mineral oils and greases. Other advantages: these powerful paper auxiliaries are weldable and bend resistant, which reinforces the barrier effect.

The SYNTHRO®-PEL B67 and SYNTHRO®PEL FB 494 are intended for all types of packaging, including food, as Bfr and FDA certifications have been obtained. These barrier products have excellent functionality and are of great interest to industry in the sector.

Manufactured at the SYNTHRON industrial site in Auzouer-en-Touraine (France), these innovations are intended for the French market and more broadly for the European market.
