Business units of the WEPA Group under new management

The Management Board of the WEPA Group, headed by CEO Martin Krengel, has defined new leadership for the business units.
 
Menno Oosterhoff has assumed management of the Business Unit Consumer as its CEO, and has also been appointed by the Supervisory Board of the WEPA Group as a member of the Management Board of the WEPA Group. As CEO of the Business Unit Consumer, he assumes overall responsibility for the business unit and its further development together with his team.
 

Paperworkers’ Union continues strike at several UPM mills until March and invites competitors to UPM negotiations

The Finnish Paperworkers’ Union has today informed UPM that their strike at UPM’s Finnish mills will be extended by three weeks until 12 March 2022, unless new agreements are reached before that. The Paperworkers’ Union’s strike at UPM Pulp, UPM Biofuels, UPM Communication Papers, UPM Specialty Papers and UPM Raflatac units in Finland started 1 January 2022. Currently, approximately 200 union members are working in tasks critical to society, such as power plants and water treatment facilities.
