Dunapack Rambox, Dunapack Packaging’s Romanian operations, part of the Austrian Prinzhorn Group, announces the start of construction works for its new packaging plant in Bolintin-Deal. The factory will run as a complimentary production site alongside the existing Dunapack Rambox site in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna, which will receive a significant technical upgrade. The Bolintin plant is scheduled to begin operations in June 2019.
The new 27,000 m2 Dunapack Rambox factory will feature state-of-the-art equipment such as a high-speed 2.8 m Fosber corrugator, a high-precision, multi-colour converting machine by Bobst as well as an automated pallet operation system. Planned production capacity is 180 million m2/year. Together, the two Dunapack Rambox plants will reach a yearly production capacity of approx. 300 million m2.

The new Bolintin-Deal factory’s product mix will focus on high-quality corrugated boxes, industrial packaging for bulk sizes, retail and e-commerce packaging as well as a wide range of other high-quality, multi-colour packaging solutions. The broad production spectrum reflects the demands generated by an increasingly segmented consumer market.
